This essay is based off of my work as a co-author of the book Massively Open: How Massive Open Online Courses Changed the World. In our Ed Tech Big Thinkers course, we were presented with the idea of writing a first-of-its-kind book on MOOCs. This was accomplished by the end of the term, in ten weeks!

The fact that this was accomplished using an online course structure, albeit much smaller than the MOOCs we were writing about, is a testament to how far online education has come in terms of advances in the ability to interact and communicate with colleagues and fellow students in a learning environment.

Embedded below is much of the writing found in chapter two, Education Through Interaction. This section discussed one of the benefits of online education and provided connections to the human experience of learning through involvement with peers.
